SURGICAL PROCEDURE OVERVIEW
Here are the basics for implant surgery: The doctor will administer a local anesthetic. There should be no more pain that having a cavity repaired or capping a tooth. 2. The doctor will then choose a healing method best suited to your case. This could mean immediately putting the implant into function, covering the implant and leaving it to heal for 3 - 6 months or the selection of another accepted protocol for your particular situation.
